A break from the Spring Rain....

Everything is so green and starting to blossom, spring is here!!! This is our walk between the rain showers from the other day...

Just stuff...

Life is just full - check it out: Evan is into a spring "Club" basketball league, so I am carpooling him down to San Luis 3 times a week for that. He rocks in basketball, so I want to support him any way I can. My mantra is just drive. I am trying to potty train Dolly. hmmm. It is not going as fast as I would like. I am changing my diet....no meat or dairy. It just evolved out of feeling crappy and I am sick of it. I think diet may have had a lot to do with it. So, it is very experimental, but I don't miss meat or dairy a bit. I am having fun being creative with my meals, as to get proper protein, vit. B's, iron, etc. and loosing weight as a benefit is always good. Gevrey is involved with a local youth group and has been doing a lot of community service projects lately. She also wants a tattoo, ear plugs, and all the rings you can think of. ugh. I'll get the tattoo with her when she is 18! Matt is taking her to Paris for Spring Break. I told Evan that he & I could learn to surf, mountain bike, hike, but he just doesn't want to hang out with ma. When did I get so uncool? He is planning a belated b-day party this weekend with his buddies and they are doing a huge airsoft war. I am going to steal the donught cake idea that I saw on Becky's blog. too cute. Check out the winery on facebook under JanKris. Adri, I saw you were a fan. Someday, I will post photos of the winery. It is gorgeous. Matt just hired an Australian wine maker. He is still on the road alot. I have just come to peace with it. Brad is still hangin' and working at the winery and breakin' all the girls hearts. It must be tough to be 23 and male. I miss all my family too much. Oh yeah, I am planting a garden this spring, well actually this weekend. It is just time to grow my own food. Wish me luck!

Dolly!

This is our newest addition to the family. She is Gevrey's new baby and I get to be her nanny while Gev is at school. She is the most lovable, fun, crazy, puppy. She has no fear of the German Shepards and is always wrestling with them. I saw her biting Bosco's tail and he was just walking, dragging her along behind. It was too cute. It is amazing how a little furry friend can bring so much joy to your life. I so in love with Dolly!

Matt's birthday surprise

For Matt's 50th birthday, we went to Mexico and I surprised him with the house being done! Well, the builder and I. It was a great, relaxing trip and neither one of us wanted to come home. I don't know what it is, but we have the greatest time down there. It was totally awesome to stay in the home and it turned out absolutely gorgeous!
